1. Data controller
For matters relating to this extension and this policy, the contact point is Adrian Mierzwiński trading as ghoosty.pl, ul. Skibińska 26/12, 20-303 Lublin, Poland, VAT PL9462759385. Email: kontakt@ghoosty.pl, phone: +48 691 611 080.
2. Scope
This policy covers only the WebReel extension. It does not replace the ghoosty.pl website privacy policy (contact forms, cookies, analytics, etc.).
3. What the extension does
When you choose to: capture the visible tab or a stitched full-page screenshot, scale outputs to WEBP files, and save them to a folder you pick in the browser (File System Access API).
Optionally you may record tab content or a screen/window selection as WebM. Nothing runs automatically; actions require the popup, a keyboard shortcut, or a context menu command.
4. Where data goes
Screenshots and recordings are stored locally in the folder you select. The extension does not upload capture contents, recordings, or your browsing history to ghoosty.pl servers or other third parties for storage.
Chrome may store your chosen folder handle in the extension’s IndexedDB so you need not pick the folder every time — still local to your Chrome profile.
5. Extension permissions (summary)
Declared permissions include, among others: activeTab, scripting, tabs, windows — for captures and helper scripts on the active tab; tabCapture / desktopCapture — only when you start recording; contextMenus and commands — shortcuts to save. They are not used for ad profiling or background tracking of browsing.
6. Your responsibility
Captures may contain personal data visible on pages or your desktop. You decide what to record, whom you share files with, and retention. Comply with applicable law (e.g. GDPR, professional secrecy, third-party rights).
7. Changes
This policy may be updated for material changes to the extension or legal requirements. The version linked in the Chrome Web Store applies.
